Pottermore, in theory, really did have so much potential to be a great Harry Potter based social network. A platform dedicated to the fans, to new information and to revelling in a magical series.

But what actually happened was that somehow people that know very little about fans of things (or the way internet communities work) built the site and due to child protection stuff the usernames and interactivity had to be limited so much that it ruined it. Oh and the lack of games and ridiculous time/cost that potions took etc.

I can’t even see them completing it properly. I hope they just give up and release it all within a year and then it can just fade away and become an amusing relic.

I’mma going to listen to some Wizard Rock now and probably cry at the Bravest Man I Ever Knew again.

Harry, don’t go picking a row with Malfoy, don’t forget, he’s a prefect now, he could make life difficult for you…”
“Wow, I wonder what it’d be like to have a difficult life?” said Harry sarcastically.

vondell-swain:

hey check it, here’s a neat bit of art I did a little while ago with Alex Day. he threw in the idea and I threw in the art.
if you want to, you can buy it on a really unfortunately light-colored shirt here, which was a particularly interesting decision that I didn’t know had been made until after the shirts were were finished and printed and in the warehouse.
but, yeah! art. art art.

Another item to add to my wishlist! (Also, Vondell, you did a wonderful job with this design!) View high resolution
