I’m fuelling my Oz addiction with a re-watch of this film.
Dorothy is suddenly a lot younger. I’ve no idea how they managed to build that house in replacement to the old shack-like one.
Toto sneaking out the window and running after her is adorable.
I remember so much of this. OH those shoulders on that dress WANT!
Miss Wilson says to a girl who is at the hospital for treatment because she can’t sleep, “you can have a nap if you want.” Uhm.
All the signs of elements of her life that have alternates in Oz are so explicit.

Good job Dorothy learned about the Deadly Desert last time she was there (it was never mentioned in the musical film).

It must be so horrible to go back to a place you knew and it’s all ruined, like when the kids from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe go back and everything’s destroyed.
The Tin Man and Lion suit being this way rather than people shaped/obvious costumes.
Wheelers are still very odd and pretty scary with their giggling.
